TELL US ABOUT YOUR GREYT BUSINESS!

Jeffrey Robins has been a hairstylist since 1985 and owner of Mane Street Hair salon since 1989. Mane Street is Owen Sound and Grey Bruce Area’s exclusive Aveda concept hair salon. Mane Street is a hair salon but to Jeffrey and his team it is more than that. Mane Streets goal from the beginning in 1989 was to help people feel their best and to give back to the community.

WHY DO YOU LOVE GREY COUNTY?
Jeffrey and his team at Mane Street love Grey county because of the people. The people of Grey County is why Mane Street has been so successful. Since opening its doors in 1989 Mane Street has always had the support of the community.

A GREYT FACT ABOUT JEFFREY
Jeffrey and his team at Mane Street support many local charities. For the past 12 years Make Street has participated in a walk with Aveda to raise money for developing countries to have access to clean water. In 2016 Mane Street decided to change the walk to a walk for food and water. The food part of the walk is to raise money for OSHARE (Owen Sound hunger and relief effort) Due to covid there was no walk for water planned with Aveda. Mane Street decided to go ahead with a walk for food instead and in 2020 the walk was able to raise $200,000 for OSHARE. To date the walk for food water has raised over $750,000. The walk has been so successful because of the support from the community especially to Barry Kruisselbrink who is the walk’s #1 fundraiser annually.

Another charity close to Jeffrey and the Mane Street teams heart is the Shriners. Annually the team helps sell onions and Christmas cakes in the salon, and participates in the Shriners annual golf tournament. All money raised from the onion and Christmas cake sales and the golf tournament goes towards the Shriners transportation fund. The transportation fund allows children to travel with their parents from home to the Shriners hospital in Montreal with all expenses being covered by the Shriners. In 2020 the golf tournament raised over $37,000.
